Locus not loading my personal maps

Solved

I installed Locus v2.19.1 and having problem that I cannot see my personal maps. I have tried some different maps from MapsEurope, OpenAndroMaps and also some vector maps. The problem is the same - they do not appear in the lists of available maps, when I want to switch from online maps. The maps are in the folders /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/Locus/maps/ and /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/Locus/mapsVector/, but they are not shown. There is the path /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/Locus in the information window. I read through quite a lot of forums, but have not found an answer. Can some previous version help?

Maybe you have a second Locus folder on your internal sd.

Move this folder to external sd

"...I have tried some different maps from MapsEurope..."

What means "MapsEurope"??

..OpenAndroMaps and also some vector maps..."

are the same map types -> *.map files - stored in mapsVector

personal maps are *.sqlitedb files stored in maps

It seems that some mistake is on my side. All of the maps, I downloaded, are vector maps, but I put some of them into Locus/maps/. It is very strange that maps from this side, for instance, http://www.openandromaps.org/download... appears correcly, when they are in the /Locus/mapsVector/. There is no description that they are vector maps.

But one vector map I put correctly into /Locus/mapsVector/. It was not shown, because it is necessary to switch off/on the phone or at least close the Locus from task manager. After that, it has appeared. It takes me almost 6 hours to find out, I think it would be good to write small message into the Locus apk to some suitable place. Anyway, many thanks for reply.

Hello PaPe,

sorry for troubles. You found two weak spots of Locus - auto-refresh of maps if there are any new and separation of maps into "maps" and "mapsVector" which is little bit confusing.

I hope that one day we resolve both problems :)

PaPe, reading helps:

http://www.openandromaps.org/installa...

There it is clearly stated that vector maps need to go into Locus/mapsVector/
