Locus refusing to load!!!

PJ shared this problem 10 years ago
Solved

I`ve just upgraded after a prolonged period of inactivity. When I load it up, I`ve had the option of converting old files into "a new database system ". I did so. The process was successful, and instructed me to start Locus again. When re-starting (even after resetting the phone), I go through this whole process again. What can I do to make this work? Thanks

Hello PJ,

sorry for that. Just yesterday I discovered that in current Locus version is bug in conversion from old database. Update of this database was anyway done somewhere in September of last year, so seems you do not updated for more then half an year.

Anyway in Locus/backup should be before_conversion.zip file. So please send me this file on locus@asamm.com email, I`ll immediately convert your points/tracks and send you result back

Hi,

Thanks for the re:

I`ve actually uninstalled, moved the Locus to a personal backup folder, then reinstalled. I``m still getting the same issues

as I wrote. it`s problem with conversion.

so there are generally three possibilities

1) you may send me backup data as I wrote above

2) you don`t want to give you points/tracks, no problem. I may create new Locus version for you, that will work fine

3) you don`t care about you old points/tracks data. Then you should delete all *.sqll files in Locus/data directory and also Locus/data/database directory

so let me know, I`ll gladly help no matter what you choose

hmm you`re welcome. I just have to warn you. If you let locus convert all data in current 2.11.1 version, that you should miss some data, because this version do not covert data perfectly, as I wrote twice above!

If you don`t care about previous data, then no problem
