Make only one layer (waypoint or track) selectable

Often, I work with waypoints and tracks together in the mapscreen. If I want to select a certain waypoint, quite often only the nearby track gets selected. I have to push several times till the waypoint gets selected.
It would be very helpful if there would be a possibility to select only tracks or only waypoints in the mapscreen.

when you tap on certain place on map, Locus should show you list of map items at this place. Not just single track or point if there is more then one item.
It do not happen to you?
Maybe you're selecting items with center red cross? If so, try not to do it in this way. Just simply tap somewhere on map with finger, not with this center cross. This should help.

I indeed select by tapping on the mapscreen and sometimes it works and all items (points and tracks) pop up, quite often however, only the track pops up, probably because it consists of many points. So I have to tap again and again till all items show up.
My idea is to have the opportunity to make only one layer selectable, either points or tracks.

Anyway what you want, your idea, seems to be only a workaround for something, that should work correctly.
So I think, that a lot better should be to fix problem with selecting of items and not create some new settings.
I'm anyway testing it and no matter how much items I display and where I tap, Locus always offer all items below my tap.
As I wrote -it's important no to tap on red center cross in this case, because then only item in tiny red dot in center is selected.
