The same problem 
I've improved system of picker in on-board calibrator. In next version 3.2.0 will be same as in case of points (it was similar, but not same, so results of "pick request" in on-board calibrator may be currently different).
So it will be possible to use some 3rd party app as alternative picker for images, like QuickPic or others.
