Hi,

I have been a Locus Pro user for ages, an this never happend before:

Downloading MapQuest-Classic (Open) Zooms 0-18.

After a few successive downloads (due to periodic volume limit) that worked fine, I get a white window saying "downloading" with a horizontal progress bar that remains grey, an "~" and two options: "Abort" and "Pause".

Nothing happens. No progress, nothing...

Please suggest how to solve this, and how to avoid loosing the already downloaded maps.

Thanks,

David

Good day David,

sorry to hear about troubles.

Seems that MapQuest Classic server runs fine, so it won't be a problem on MapQuest side. If you leave Locus for a few minutes, no change?

Map you're currently downloading will be placed in Locus/maps directory, so you may do simple copy of this file.

To check what's happen, are you able to create a log by this method? http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt response.

1. Leaving Locus, and even restarting the phone do not help.

2.The partially downloaded map in Locus/maps directory are (two files are):

Name.sqlitedb-journal

Name.sqlitedb.back

Does it help in solving the problem?

Also:

I have the desired map on my other phone (working fine), but copy of this particular map to my new phone does not work for (this procedure worked fine for other maps).

Reason?

Any solution? - This can save a lot of downloading time and resources.

You map really end with ".sqlite.back"? Hmm this should only mean, that Android had any problem with this file and then instead of deleting it, it just renamed to "back". Anyway correct name for a map should be just "Name.sqlite".

So I suggest to backup your back and journal file and then simply try to remove back extension. And you'll see if this helps.

If not (probably), we should try to restore your database file if you share it with us, or if map isn't too big, I suggest to download it again. And also, please check your card for example in PC. There should be any problem with this card itself, so to prevent loss in future.
