Map formats

Answered

I am a volunteer with my local emergency services. I have 30 maps in 1:25,000 scale that cover our area of responsibility. I have the maps in PDF, JPG, BMP, PNG, KML and KMZ. Can import any of these into Locusmap for use in the field while offline.

Thanks

Gavin

Hi Gavin,

KML and KMZ files are directly exportable to Locus Map. About import: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:data_import. If your PDF, JPG, BMP or PNG are georeferrenced, they can be converted to some supported format. About supported formats: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_external#supported_map_formats. About map conversion: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:advanced:map_tools:conversion.

best regards

Michal, Locus team
