Map Calibration issues

Recently I needed to Calibrate a map, The first issue I found was that Locus gave a warning about file size being to large and it would likely have issues, what I want to know is what is the safe size? I can reduce the area to it and reduce quality but want to know what is safe level to target. Having that number in the popup would be really good.

Second issue, my map does not have lines draw for the lat/long the have tick marks at the edges thus picking up the spots in the center of the map is hard. please make the crosshairs extend to the edges so I can align it as of now I will have large error by just eyeballing it.

Hi,

Basically it’s difficult to say what is the max. size, because it depends on your device (memory). Simply try to transform your image. If Locus will crash then reduce the size/resolution and try transformation again.

To your second question/idea. Locus is fully adaptable. You can define own crosshair and replace the default red cross.

You can try some cursor which was already made by Locus community:
