Mapping closed polygons with GPS ?

Hello can I create tracks that snap closed into polygons or must i close them later in desktop software?
As a bonus -- if they snap shut can we also get area of the polygon in m2?

Hi Nico,
Locus Map can create polygon shapes by track recording but not closed - always just a single track. But it can fill them with color (style settings) and measure their area (tool in the track detail screen menu). But, much better for this usecase is Locus GIS (Google Play - Locus GIS)
