This got turned on correctly. Yet it does not work. Is there any other setting that affects this function?

In the folder mapsonline were stored online maps. So I deleted. Again, I turned on the Locus and recorded maps. I opened the folder mapsonline. In the folder has no maps are not. Locus loaded maps, but is not saved.

Hi Jan,

does it happen with all online maps? maybe one short note: from the last version Locus does not cache SHOCart maps (on demand of SHOCart company).

Maps Shocart I use the most. Is there any way to undo the last update, so it worked again as before?

I'm sorry but we have to respect the requirements of our partners. Unfortunatelly there isn't any official way how to downgrade.

I have to say, that no matter what are preferences for certain maps, there should be file for every online map as a possible storage for a map cache. So please check rather once more, that you really choose any working online map (best to test on MapQuest - Classic map), and that even after a while of work with this map and closing Locus, directory Locus/mapsOnline is still empty. If you have disabled "Offline mode", it should not be.

Thank you and sorry for a troubles.

Without the ability to use maps Shocart this program dropped a few levels below. It is possible to use SmartMaps, but those are not so good. Disable storing maps in memory is the same as these maps exclude from the menu.

Please Jan, forward you complains to SHOCart company. It has nothing to do with Locus as this app only provide data from various map providers.

SHOCart tries to completely change it's way, how to provide data to users. We currently try to allow at least paid online/offline access to their map with a longer (unlimited) caching. Hope it will be done soon. Not just because of you, but we also use these maps :).

It's a surprise for those who did the upgrade. On older versions of Locus maps function as before? Why such a fundamental change in function was not communicated to users? It was not enough to limit the period of validity of the map to be a day or two? In this form, the maps are virtually useless, and many users will find the problem until the moment when they need it (like me).

Look Jan, we received email from mr. Cirhan, who is owner of Freytag etc. with information to immediately stop caching map tiles for SHOCart maps. There is no place for any communication with users as this is not our decision.

And I fully understand you problem. I have same when riding out without internet. For that reason, it's planned at least paid access that will allow some caching etc. Sorry, there is really not a more we may do now even we try.

I still anyway do not have answer on my response here http://help.locusmap.eu/responses/maps-are-not-stored-in-my-memory-locus-pro-331#comment-12810

I understand. This means that older versions do not support storing maps to internal memory?

Other maps in my device works without any problems.

"Other maps works without a problem" - good, glad to hear it.

Older version will probably work as before. This limitation is only in new version Locus, so if they do not block old Locus versions (it's possible in future), it will probably as before.

As Peter wrote here - http://help.locusmap.eu/responses/maps-are-not-stored-in-my-memory-locus-pro-331#comment-12809 - we will be really glad, if more and more people will respect these requirements as well. It's anyway everybody personal decision.
