Maps dissappeared after mobile reset

After a crash of my mobile I had to resetup my mobile completely. Now most of my maps are lost. In the history you can see all my purchases. How can I reactivate them again?

PS This is the third time I submitted this ticket. Hope it gets through now.

Dear Kirsten,

different map have different possibilities. Basically all LoMaps (vector maps) can be downloaded one year for free. You can download it via Menu > Locus store > Country ...

On other side for example outdooractive or swisstopo has completely different system - every download of these maps is charged.

Maps in Locus store contains short terms where is written if is it possible to download the map for free. Please check what type of map you use and when was purchased.

So it seems that the missing maps are on my device for more than 1 year. I must say that this 1-year-deadline is not customer friendly. I akready spent a lot of money for my maps and now I should pay again without any guilt.

How can I save my maps on a save place for preventing this again?

Hi Kirsten,

I sorry for troubles and I can understand that mentioned system is not ideal. But this is how system works. However the latest version of LoMaps contains new feature - the off line addresses search. So I hope that there is some good reason for purchasing of the new version of LoMaps.

All downloaded LoMaps are stored in folder /locus/maspVector as files *.map and *.db map. You can copy these files to PC to backup them

In any case I'd advise to have a copy of mass data (maps, Locus DBs, backups and alike), on a PC or Mac.

So you no longer depend on shop policies in the future.
