Mass edit tracks in tracks data manager

I have a lot of imported bicycle routes (extracted from osm data) and would like to add the altitude and change the color style to "altitude". It would be nice to be able to add the functions for mass edits on tracks (category etc. would be nice too) to the right button where "merge tracks" and "delete" is.
I like this idea 
There should be also an option to mass edit point, eg. change the icons of many points at once.

I agree. I would like to have a faster way to define track styles and default track styles. So it would be nice to have
* in edit mode for one track, a button "save as default appearance" (maybe a second one for "save as default appearance for this track category"?)
* in edit mode for one track, a button "apply default appearance" (maybe same for category?)
* in the track category, a button "apply default appearance to all selected tracks"
Using this,
* I am not forced to go to settings menu, where I find exactly the same UI elements as I already had in track recording
* it`s simple to change the line style for several tracks to the same or similar settings (by changing default once and setting it for many tracks)

In v 2.10.2, a style can be defined for track categories, and tracks can use that style or an individual style. That`s already sufficient for my use cases, like making cross country skiing tracks appear in pink (visible in bright sunlight and easy to distinguish from the tracks) but alpine hiking altitude dependent etc. Thanks! :-)

ah already here is wish for this. I`m glad you like it. I think that current implementation cover idea from brotbuexe, so if you`ll agree, I`ll close this "idea" as "implemented"
