Hello Chris,
it depends on type of the map. For example Locus LoMasp (vector maps) can be downloaded one year from purchase for free. But for example Swisstopo maps, Freytag-Berndt, outdooractive maps are charged everytime you download them from Locus Store.
Best regards
Petr

Hi Petr.
Thanks for your reply.
This may have been solved. I am new to Locus mapping on my Sony Experia phone and whether the issue I found is with the Locus download or with the phone processing I don't know. I discovered irregular patches in places of blank (white) areas within the map. This was particularly the case with the Netherlands map. However I have now discovered that if I enlarge a particular area which is showing this issue then the problem disappears and I can then see all the detail I require.
Other issues I have found are that some areas of the maps become silhouetted but then if scroll into the area and enlarge then the issue disappears.
Is it my phone or the Locus maps?
Most of the maps I have downloaded are what I believe you are describing as vector maps.
For reference if I wish to delete and reinstall a map without a repeat purchase how should I do this?
Thanks for your help Petr and I really do feel that the Locus maps are an excellent addition to my cycling navigation capabilities.

Hello Chris,
thank you for more information. As I wrote into private ticket we would need to know the area where is white/blank tile shown. We need to check the map itself in first step and for this reason I'd like to know the problematic area. However if zoom in/out "solves" the issue, then is very likely problem in Locus app and renderer of the map.
There are two possibilities if you want to delete LoMaps (that can be downloaded several time for free) .
1. Open Menu > Maps > Offline > tap on setting for map you want to delate and choose "Delete" from submenu
2. Use arbitrary file manager app > navigate to folder /Locus/mapsVector and delete files <country>.osm.map and <country>.osm.db
However I'm 99% sure that new downloading does not solve your issue with blank tiles.
Thank you
Petr
