My current location

Solved

My current location is not the GPS location but rather the map center, see attachment and also http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/share-current-location#comment-34369

Good day Ralf,

I'm checking the source code of this function and also quickly testing it and all seems to be correct.

Do you have GPS enabled in Locus Map (green satellite icon in the toolbar) and do you see a blue circle on the map screen that indicates your current real location? What I need here is to simulate your problem, thank you.

Hello Menion,

GPS is enabled (see attachment), but I have not the blue circle, maybe disabled.

Good day Ralf,

thank you for additional information. Locus Map indicates you have enabled GPS ad that it already have valid location, good.

Now I suggest simple check:

  • tap on title with currently visible time to sunrise and change it to coordinates
  • try your Menu > Share > My current location and compare if coordinates in the generated text are same or not (should not bet!)
  • then you may return to map and tap on "center" button in bottom right corner
  • try Share now and coordinates should be same.

Good morning Menion,

The coordinates in case 1 are different and the coordinates in the generated text are correct. Fine, problem solved. Only the text (adress, street) in the subject is wrong (see attachment). That confused me. Is it possible to customize the message text in settings? (idea: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/customize-share-location-message-in-settings)

Thank you

Good day Ralf,

you are absolutely correct. Subject of pre-generated email was incorrectly generated from map center location and not your GPS location. Thanks for bug report, issue will be fixed in next version!

Customization of message is not currently possible.

Menion
