Names on imported tracks
Answered
From where does Locus get the Tracknames on imported tracks?
I often use a 3rd party app for inner city routing, the tracks I generate have ridiculous very long filenames, so my first thought was change the filename. but that doesn`t work. If imported into Locus the track still remains with the long name.
I checked the file Properties if I could find something but nada.
My guess is Locus takes filenames from data inside the track itself, but I`m not sure.
Is there a way to change names while importing a track?
Hi Knut,
Do you import from a .kml type file ?

Did you tried to open your gpx with a text editor ? If not, try, you will normally find an item called "name" inside with the name of your file that is probably used by Locus. Just change the name by the one you want.
It`s the same with .kml

Hi guys,
just to make it clear. As I`m checking code, name is too in this order
1. tag directly in file
2. file name without ending
so if not exists, is just used name of source file. So as Fifi suggested, I also may only recommend to check this tag in GPX or KML file
