Navigate from a different start point not possible

Not a Problem

Navigate from a different start point as the actual position does not work. If the actual position is identified, the route always is been (re-)calculated from the actual position.

In the attached example the start point should be Promenadegasse (Vienna, 17 th district). Instead of that, the route was calculated from Lassallestraße (Vienna, 2 nd district).

for simulation turn off sat, so mapcenter is used > move mapcenter to Promenadengasse and start navigation

Thanks, that is a possible workaround. Nevertheless this is a bug for my understanding. The route should be calculated from the point I have entered. Otherwise it makes no sense for me to enter a different start point. If my position is different, the route should be recalculated during moving.

I do not think, this is a bug.

If you define start and end points as you did on first screenshot, Locus then compute required route, display it on the map and start navigation. If you anyway have enabled automatic recalculate ( http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:navigation:settings#auto-recalculation ) and also enabled GPS as balloni55 correctly wrote, Locus logically recalculate route from your current location, to the target.

Depend on what you want to do, there is a few suggestions:

- as mentioned, disable GPS in Locus (not a real solution I think)

- disable automatic recalculate settings

- if you wants to plan a route, use planning feature http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:planning

Thanks Menion for your explanation. To plan a route is what I wanted to do. I did not know, that there is a own functionality for that. By the way, I am very happy with locus :-)

Glad to hear it. I'm sure you will find planning feature very useful, as it offers a lot of possibilities. In your case, mainly use "displays route computing dialog" button before you start adding a points. Well, all is in manual ;).
