Navigation settings link in Navigation dialog

It could be very handy to have in the Navigation dialog an iconic link leading directly to the Settings-Navigation.

As it is very inconvenient to leave the dialog and go all the path down to Navigation settings. I do it often, either to change something ,or just to verify, what are the current settings.

Unless I am blind and missed that option, of course.

It could be perhaps generalized to expose relevant settings links in relevant dialogs/screens, where it may apply.

It would be an alternative approach to keeping contextually close dialogs/screens and settings separated like independent realms.

Hello Libor,

are you talking about this dialog: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:navigation#navigation_control_menu ? Then link to settings should be in top toolbar as is visible on screenshot.

Hi Menion,

well not exactly, rather the dialog that is launched via navigation icon from the toolbar, where start, destination and transportation modes are selected. But I have already noticed my blindness :-D, as it is hidden in the to right screen corner as 3 dot icon. I am sure I have tried it , but either the phone was irresponsive, or whatever, but I have not noticed the menu behind with the Settings.

Anyway, the setting could be one click more handy. For myself, the settings are of the same importance and usage frequency as TO and FROM, so I would prefer to have it somewhere there. But I can live with how it is.. :-)

Hello Libor,

understand. Ah, here. I was already thinking about it, but in the end I decided that I'll keep consistency of these menu so settings will remain on all places under three-dot menu. Thanks for understanding.

I see. Consistency is important. I am sure you are aware of the drawbacks it brings.
