Why the route navigation does not work without the Internet.
This option works with Garmin devices just fine without internet.

After your route has Calculated leg, you do not need
internet connection anymore. Everything is stored and available in your Android
device.
If you want a new calculation you need internet again. Why?????

Hello Hans,
this is how whole Locus works. Locus is currently not able to compute route between points from available data offline.
So all computes needs internet access, even a recompute.
Currently there are no plans to add offline routing in next months, because this feature is really complex and needs a lot of time and our road plan currently contains other tasks.
