New Cloud Backup and Internet connection

Simple question...how does the new cloud backup function behaves regarding the internet connection?
Does it only run when a WiFi connection is available or does it also run, when the device only has a mobile data connection? Can this be configured?

yes, the sync start if your device has WIFI connection
e.g. i´ve set my backup at 3 am, so im sure locus isn´t running, at 6 am my device wake up and get WIFI connection

As far as I understood, if you set your automatic backup to the cloud, the backup in general will only work on WiFi. İt means there will be no backups locally untill you get to WiFi signal. And there is no backup on mobile network.

Exactly as already said.
It is little unfortunate solution, because without Wi-fi, even a local backup is not done. On second side, it is based on solution directly integrated in Android so it may be finally working on 99.9%. In moment I start implement some solution like "local backup immediately and upload when possible", it may bring some new unwanted issues. Anyway for now, please be aware of it and I'm not saying, it is final solution.
