Different SD problem?

I'm using 4.4.2 but Orux has no problem with finding maps moved to the SD card. I'd much rather use Locus.

What directory path should I write in your change directory window to load maps from SD? What files do I need to load onto SD and what files do I need to leave behind?

Hi Jon,

depends what maps you want to use from the SD card. If some external then there's no problem. Just tap the "plus" icon in the map manager and select "add external maps" > add new file/directory. If you'd like to use SD card for storing maps downloaded by Locus from online then there's a problem as for applications the writing process on a SD is almost disabled since Android 4.4.2.

Thanks, but can I move Locus maps to the SD card and specify a path so Locus can find them? Or even move all Locus directories to the SD card?

Better leave Locus root directory in internal memory and move just maps to your SD.

But how do I tell Locus where to find the map file?

As I had written before... tap the plus icon in the map manager and select "add external maps". Then select the folder with your maps and confirm.

Aaaaah - right. I didn't realise that the path at the top of that page was clickable. Thanks.
