No results of new poi search

Solved

Thanks alot for implementing this great feature to offline search in Pois. If I go to points around all near pois are displayed perfectly. Same for the subfolders. But if I search for "Apotheke" the nearest result is like 25 kms away although there is one right around the corner. Also search for a certain restaurant gives no result although shown in the list "around"

Try it again and note following:

- with satfix, pois are searched arround this point

- without satfix, mapcenter is used for searche

- be true you have selected the right db.

example: you have selected bayern.db and your possition (mapcenter/satfix) is Badenwürttemberg, the results are far away

what is satfix and why is a/the database not selected automatically according to the position given (by mapcenter or gps signal)

where do i select the db or do you mean map?

edit: nearly the same problem I have, if I search for an address and select something out of the proposal list. Then it does not take the selected address but some other far away, also if i do not choose from this list. this can be reproduced but the result is somehow changing but does not show the correct address (https://www.google.de/maps/place/Obere+G.,+91056+Erlangen/@49.5896545,10.9728579,14z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x47a1f8a8e3f877d7:0x6f76023f83445249)

(search for "obere gasse 19" in germany/bavaria and select the list entry for "Erlangen". The result is somewhere 290km away in a region where i do not have a map for installed. sometimes it is near erlangen but the wrong address (not the one i selected) I have a samsung galaxy

note (gt-N7000) with android 4.0.4 (rooted) and original google applications. installing or deinstalling or re-installing of google apps did not work for me.

I found an issue in case, you wrote letters too fast. In some cases happen that result was empty list. I'm anyway unable to simulate issue when Locus returns list with invalid points.

So, please check where you have center of a map, disable GPS in Locus and try it again. If result is invalid, write me please exactly where you have center of a map and which map (database) you use. And what and where you search. I need to be able to simulate exactly same issue as you, to be able to fix it. Thanks for help!

I have chosen right Map and db of my position. And yes, you are right, if I type slowly, letter by letter, the results are same as expected. If I type them fast, no results in list. No Matter if gps is turned on or off.

My example:

Map: bayern.osm.map

DB: bayern.osm.db

Map Center: N48°01.658' E11°05.119'

search for "apotheke" (which should be "Ammersee Apotheke" as nearest result 599m SE)

Typing speed of first three letters doesn't matter. If I type the following letters slowly, result is correct. If I type them too fast (without waiting for result after each letter) I get result "Katharinen Apotheke", which is 24.7km East.

Thanks for looking into it!

Yes, that's exactly what I found out too.

There was an issue in correct cancel of previous task (before typing new letter) and of new task (after typing a new letter).

Issue should be now solved, so we will see in next version 3.5.2 this week ;).
