No voice on navigation

Solved

Hello.

I test the great app.

I read in the forum and the manual for my problem: I cannot hear any voice by the navigation.

What is wrong?

Hi,

check your navigation settings (menu > settings > navigation > Select voice). Locus has two options - TTS (text-to-speech) or sound files (you have to download them first e.g. here >>. When you start the navigation check also if the voice is not muted.

What voice provider do you use and how is it configured ? The more specific you are the faster you can get the help. As voice navigation normally works, you may do something or have set something differently than others.

All looks all right - TTS and voice files... check your phone settings if you dont have media muted

then I'm sorry, I can't simulate your Problem. Nobody else reported such an issue so probably it is not in Locus but in your device HW or settings.

Maybe there a no direction commands on the track.

Did you try it on the sofa or in real?

There are some changes in next Locus version.

I deinstalled and installed the app: no voice.

I plan my routes with Komoot, save it and import it to Locus. Komoot has a navigation with voice too.

I install bikemap and there is a voice. Locus is the better app therefore I will use it - not on a sofa! :-)

Optical Navigation is ok.

Seems Locus has nothing to say, because there is no command.

Did you tried MapQuest? same problem?

I would try to uninstall BRouter and erase its folder including data sets and reinstall everything back. Recently we've had some troubles with BRouter, however, of a slightly different character, but maybe this correlates with it somehow as well.

I uninstalled BRouter and installed it new.

It seems I have voice navigation! :-)

I test all the other ones (MapQuest and OSRM): there are voice navigation too.

I think the BRouter version was the problem. I will test it and report about it.
