No access to geocaching live, Authorization problem
Hi,
I was trying to find a similar topic in the forum, but it seems, that I ́m the only one with this problem.
I tried to get access to geocaching live, but after logging in and allowing locus to access to my account, I always get the message:
"You are not authorized to open the page: locus://oauth.callback/geocaching?
oauth_verifier=.....oauth_token=...."
But I also get an email with the message:
"[GEO] Successful Authorization for Locus by Locus
Welcome! You`ve successfully authorized Locus by Locus."
I ́m quite sure, that there was no mistake typing the password data, cause I tried it several times. I also don ́t have any problems to download caches over the geocaching4locus addon. This problem doesn ́t appear in my other used applications, e.g. Cachebox, Neongeo, GSAK.
What can I do? I saw that there were problems in the past with the geocaching live api, but I don ́t believe, that it is the case for my problem now.
I love locus and hope somebody can help to solve my problem.

Yes, I already read this thread and tried the same. But it didn`t help. Just right now, I tried it again several times,... without success. I don ́t have any idea what else I can do.
I even flashed another rom in the last days (not only because of this issue, but I nevertheless thought it could solve the problem), but this also didn`t change the behaviour.

After confirming the message, Locus stucks in waiting for answer from server. Even when I close Locus, the process didn`t stop and I have to force a shutdown of the process.

almost half year old topic. I`m not sure if you still use Locus anyway in last version, this problem may be finally solved. I discovered small problem in my code that may caused this. Since then, nobody complain with problems of login. So let me know in case I may help you, otherwise I`m marking this topic as solved

your problem will be probably related to used web browser. What web browser are you using? Anyway may you try any different? For example Doplhin https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... or any other? I`m sure it will help

I`m getting exactly the same error message using the standard android chrome browser. This has only started happening in the last couple of weeks. Any idea why?

currently no idea. Did you tried different browser? I`m personally not using chrome, but I`ll check it also. I`m anyway worried that there will not be a much to do on my side ...

Hi, I had also problems to log in to the geocaching.com with the latest version. It eventually succeeded but after 5-10 attempts. I had no such problem when I was using Locus before. I`m using the standard internet browser.

and you have (or had?) problems with Locus (so Geocaching Live in Locus) or Geocaching4Locus add-on? Because G4L add-on has currently some problems as described here http://geocaching4locus.eu/ . Both has anyway problems with login over new Chrome browser where is bug that browser do not forward request back to application

Hi, it indeed looks like the problem described in G4L page http://geocaching4locus.eu/ On top of what was mentioned it also loses an already acquired authorization after a while. I hope there will be a new version of Geocaching4Locus soon fixing this issue.
