Non-rectangular maps created with Mobac don't work

Febs shared this problem 8 years ago
Not a Problem

I created two maps with MOBAC, in the OruxMaps SQLite format.

They do work in OruxMaps, so I guess the maps themselves are fine. They don't show up in Locus though, it lists them quickly when it boots but then they don't appear in the personal maps list.

They have been created by using a polygon as a shape, they are not rectangular, so I guess the issue could be that.

Many thanks.

Hello Febs,

I'm trying your map and as you may see, I have no problems with it.

Please check if map files are correctly placed in "Locus/maps/map name" directory. And check file validity at least by comparing file size ...

Thank you for your help.

This is very old because both Locus and OruxMaps point at the same folder ( /sdcard1/MAPS ). Locus does list the map at boot time (in the quick window that appears during the boot). How can I debug this? Like, enabling verbose logs or something like that?

(PS: it looks like it's drawn oddly in your screenshot, the bottom half of the map does not match with the top half (look at the river Thames curves).

Many thanks :)

Ok I guess I do have some issues that is not related to Mobac maps. I did create a map by using Locus itself and while the files are in the proper folder, Locus doesn't see the maps!

...I did reset the paths and it's now working. Thanks. :)

Ah you had incorrect path to Oruxmaps map directory? Glad it works now!

both applications shared the same path, external to both directories. It used to work until a few days ago! This is quite odd, but whatever. I now splitted the maps. :)
