Official German topografic maps useable in Locus?
Answered
Hello Locus people and friends,
just registered the Locus software, and I`m highly satisfied about this excellent piece of software.
I switched from a WinMobile system to Android and I licensed a couple of topografic maps from the German Institut for Cartographics (Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie) some years ago. These maps are in kind of TIFF-Format with the single maps named e.g. "Bundesamt dtk50 z2_19_05.gma". I`m afraid, I don`t know the details of this *.gma format. Could you figure out, if these maps can be used with the Locus software?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello Friedhelm,
I’m sorry but I don’t know *.gma format. Could you please check if German Institute for cartographic provide some information for this format?
You wrote that it is such kind of tiff – I only guess that this format could be some type of geoTiff (or similar geo-referenced image). Try to import it into Mapc2mapc2 as Wolfgang wrote. If is this format georeferenced you would be able to skip the step “calibrate image”.
