Offline maps bad loading in 3.30.0 version

Hello

I am using freemap offline maps. They worked without problems, but recently they are not displayed properly. Missing areas with "Loading..." on screen, but no refreshing.

See image attached.

I tried to delete cash, restart, but no help. Also, refresh freemap download, no help.

I also downloaded Slovakia offline maps from Locus store, and they work (bad) the same.

Thanks for any advice.

Dear Roman,

could I ask you what is the source for your Slovakia free map and what theme do you use?

Would you please try the downloaded Slovakia LoMaps map with any internal (default) theme - eq. "Hike & Bike"? Send me also the screenshot with default theme), please.

Hello.

Primary I am using freemap.sk based map, Slovakia-srtm-only with feeemap_slovakia motive and layers "Prekryvanie mapy" and "Tiene mapy" on.

Seems issue is with "External motives" - Elements LE and Elevate LE works, but "freemap_slovakia" and "freemap_slovakia_classic" dont.

Hi Roman,

thank you for screenshots. I'm sorry but please contact the developer of freemap_slovakia with this issue. There is very likely some mistake in themes.

But themes worked fine for previous version of Locus?

I am using the same map source and themes since I am using Locus, from 2015. There was never an issue with displaying maps.

Last update of theme "freemap_slovakia" is 26.5.2017.

Issue with displaying maps I observed sinc last Locus update.

Can you please double check, if an issue is not in Locus?

Is there way how to "clear cache" or something?

This is very likely different issue because it seems that Roman uses the vector based map but your issue was related with online map service.

I am working as a software developer and developing a Windows application which also use offline and online maps. We have of course implemented it such that the same code is used for drawing maps on screen and independent of where the data is coming from. There is little difference in how online and offline maps work in our code. I thougth you had done something similar.....

Same problem with my Locus Pro since the last update. I am using the legal Garmin IMG-files from http://garmin.opentopomap.org/, after the last update the maps are not displayed, just the message "unknown problem" (in german "unbekanntes Problem"). What to do, without the possibility of using free IMGs the program is worthless for me :-(

Dear Christian,

you issue also isn't related with this topic. The Garmin IMG maps are not fully supported in Locus app. I can only suggest to use different maps - for example LoMaps or OpenAndroMaps. These maps are generated from the same data as OpenTopoMaps and have several benefits. You can change the appearance of the map using the themes. More over LoMaps give you possibility for offline address search or database of POIs. For more infor please see: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_locusmaps

Additional infos: I tried to use older OpenTopoMaps, not the newest ones from the internet, but the error occured again. It is not working with all maps from OpenTopoMaps, nor the small neither the big filesizes, nor the fresh downloaded neither the older files from my backup-hd.
