Hello,

I hope that I can clearly understand what map have you downloaded. I expected that it was LoMaps map. In this case you can download the same LoMaps from Locus store on your tablet for free. (Every LoMaps can be downloaded for free during one year from purchase of the map). It's needed to you the same google account on both devices. Please note that other maps can have different terms of use.

Please let me know if downloading on tablet was successful or send me more info what map have you downloaded.

Thank you

Best regards

Thank you for your timely comment. I have found a solution, to open the copied maps on the tablet. The way is not easy! You have to find the right Directory and the presentation of the filestructure in Locus is not the best.

I tried to navigat with this Cards. That should be possible, but I always get Problems with the Locus App. There are mistakes like "... pass=0" or "from-Point not found in data base" or the same with to-Point.

It seems, that offline Navigation with Locus ist less than beta Version thats need the knowledge of a programmer. When I choose a Point from the map, why is this unknown ????

I want to use this App for Navigation in USA, but ist seems that it is not stable enough and there is no good Manual for offline Navigation........................ and how to get a voice guide?

I use Locus mapp pro since 2012. But this is the most worse Situation since 2012.

Hello,

sorry for troubles ...I can suggest following article that could be helpfull http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:move_to_new_device_sd_card

Honestly I'm not sure if I can understand your second /third question. Would you please describe it more detailed (the screenshot with "error" message would be helpful). I would also kindly ask you for new topic because these questions are offtopic. However Locus needs another co-app called Brouter to provide offline navigation.

Please see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_navigate_offline for more info.

Thank you

Hello Petr,

these problems occur because Locus Map has become an App for programmers and hobbyists. Much too complicated for the 'normal' user.

The normal user wants hiking, biking or driving a car to a target. All the Navigationsystems on the market (Garmin, TomTom,....) show, what a normal user can handle and thats the limit !

When I began with Locus Map Pro, I took part in development in a small range. I know this is offtopic, but it is a well-meaning advice : Make it easier. Bring out easier versions, specially for car navigation.

I have often recommended Locus Pro to my friends, but I cannot do this any more.

One Result : I Managed to get a car-navigation with voice guide !!!! Why the hell does Locus not use the Ludness settings o´f the phone? Itook me a long time to find out, that there is a loudness controller when you start a navigation and click in the left upper corner. This is far away from intuitiv.

I wanted to download another voice, but it is not possible to find the Menu item to do that.

Problems problems problems..... make it easy liek a garmin for the millions of 'normal ' users.

Thanks.

BR Bernd

Dear Bernd,

thank you for comments. Honestly the main goal of Locus app isn't car navigation. Yes it's possible to use it as a car navigation but Locus is focused especially for outdoor activities (cycling, hiking).

I'll discuss the "volume issue" with the main developer and off course we'll discuss your notes.

Thank you

Best regards

Petr
