Offline maps zoom levels - white instead of blurry map of preivous zoom level
Answered
In previous Locus versions (at least a few months ago), when I zoomed in to a higher level than what I had downloaded, it still showed the tiles for the lower zoom level (but more "pixly" as you continued to zoom in). I the current versions, as an example, I have downloaded to level 13 for most part for a map, but when I zoom in to level 14 it shows no tiles at all (just white/grey) instead of showing the tiles from level 13. Is there a setting to restore this, so it always shows the highest level tiles downloaded even though I zoom in more?
Hello,
we really changed the behavior as you describe. There was "usability" issue on the border of the downloaded map. Where "blurry" scaled map from previous zoom-level disappear when you pan the map. It causes complications because some users thought that map is broken (because map "randomly" disappear).
I can only suggest to use "Lock the zoom" feature that could partially help with your situation.
Thank you for understanding
Best regards
