Offline OSM POI database not found (Locus 3.13.1)
Answered
Hi,
I'm wondering about the fact, that the OSM POI database - e.g. Austria.osm.db (not from Locus store) - doesn't work any more - why?
THX in advance for the answer,
Gottfried
"not from Locus store" means?
"not from Locus store" means?
Hi,
I still use the POI-DBs from 08/2014 uploaded (from Menion?) on Google-Drive (the link is dead) [1].
I found this link in the openandromaps-forum [2].
Therefore, this database-files are "not from Locus store", it worked perfect till the Locus Version 3.12, but not any more in current Version 3.13.1 :-(.
THX, Gottfried

So I suggest to download a new db from Locus Store.

Hi Gottfried, exactly as Gynta wrote (thanks Gynta)... Some structural items in database have changed and old "no Store" database no longer display in Locus. You have to update it from Locus Store.

Hmm I also think it should be a previously (another topic) discussed problem with missing base-map file. This means you need to have also a Austria.osm.map file in same directory. If you already have it, then as gynta & Michal wrote.

Hi all,
thank you very much for answering my question.
@Menion: I tried to rename my map, but it wont' work. In my case it worked very well even without the same file-name of the map. It also worked with a different db-file-name e.g. 'Austria2015.osm.db', but then there was no nice Austria flag visible :-).
@Michal & gynta:
Thanks for confirmation, that some structural items in database have changed and that the old db-files are no longer visible in Locus. (It's a feature, not a bug :-) )
Conclusion - very sad, because I have the old files for all countries of Europe :-(.
Nevertheless, thank you all for this great App!!!!!
Best regards,
Gottfried
