On Restore it always asks for Download Additional Data

Scenario: I have 2 phones with Locus Pro.

I make a full backup on 1 phone, upload it to dropbox.

On the other phone I download it from dropbox and restore it in Locus (all options ticked on).

Then it always asks to reload that 'additional data': why???

I reckon that data is all there already . Just wondering.

Hi,

download of libraries is one part of what happen. Second, what is not visible, is check of license (purchase). By restoring backup from different device, caches license result is cleared so Locus needs to check license again.

Anyway you are correct that Locus should keep old cached license on new device and just restore other settings. I've just improved a code little bit, so it will work in such way in next version (I'm little bit lazy to test it now, so i hope it will work) :).

Thanks for good point.

I think this issue is back with 3.10.x...

I used a couple of phones to update to 3.10.0 / 3.10.1 and also restore full backups. It now again asks for additional data.

It is OK in case of fresh new installs and some tasks around backup/restore etc.

Well, it used to be 'better' with 3.9, compared to 3.10.x. Esp when in the field, no data connection and doing a restore, then this is even blocking. Can't you make it behave as it did before?

It behave still same! There were no change. If you frequently change versions like you probably did with latest 3.10.x, Locus always require to load a data. In case of common using (basic using of Locus few times a week and updating with regular updates over Google Play) this should never happen.
