Online maps download to start in the middle - not boarder
Completed
Why not to start a download of online maps by tiles in the midle of the screen rather than on the border.
It will make a map visible more quickly on slow connections because the middle of the map is the place where I want to look the most.
Load down more than one zoom level, then the lowest zoom level which has much less tiles is downloaded firstly.
I would not always agree that I would be interested mainly in the middle of the map.
E.g. you could download a round island`s map and maybe you`re mostly interested in the coastal regions...

I`ve meant downloading just for display on the screen - to be visible as quicky as possible. Not downloading a whole map for offline usage.

interesting, because this is already implemented. Are you sure it not works correctly? I`ll rather check it ...

it downloads from upper left to lower right corner.
I agree that it would be feasible to start in the center of the displayed map.

heh, as I wrote, this is implemented for maybe two years :) and for a whole time, there were issue with dividing integer number by 2 ... funny. Thanks for this idea, now fixed and seems working

Hi, the bug is still there:

It works exactly the opposite as you intended - the middle tile is loaded at the very end.
I`m unintentionally creating a gallery of wasted time and bandwidth and boredom while waiting for a middle tile. Unlike Godot, it fortunately comes...

sorry myneur, but I have to say ... you`re right :). I have one inner cycle in opposite direction and on you small display it switched first five tiles. On big screens it wasn`t visible ...
so next version ... (sorry once more)
