OSM maps not working
Answered
Hi ,
Locus map pro installed on my Samsung S7 identifies .sql offline maps only but not .osm maps downloaded earlier on my previous mobile. i am using the same Google play account. Do you know why?
Thank you
Laco
.osm is not a map format. needs to be ...map (with the right content).
...osm is a rtextual representation of the underlying OSM data.

Good day Ladislav,
do you have stored these maps in mapsVector directory or added into Locus Map over "external maps" feature?

i store them in mapsVector directory (Locus/Maps). If i try to add them over "external maps" feature I get the following notification "selected path is not allowed"

Hello, don't store them in Locus/maps but into Locus/mapsVector.
It should in same directory where Locus Map download them by default, so you may try to download new small map to see where they belong.

Hi Menion,
I am having a similar issue. I am unable to open a map that I created, i keep getting the error message "Selected path is not allowed". I have tried mbtiles, rmap, and sqlitdb but none seem to work. i have tried saving to Locus/maps and Locus/mapsVector but neither work. Any ideas?

Locus started to block the manual addition of maps and folders that it uses as a default already.
You need to put the .map files (vector) to "mapsVector" Locus sub-folder and the sqlite-DB and alike into the "maps" sub-folder.
There Locus automatically finds them without announcing individual maps.

one idea...
have you changed default directory of map folders?
take a look at:
settings/Miscellaneouse/Default directories/Set maps directory
i suspect there is selected another directory than "default" in your device
if so, it´s only possible to store maps there (on this modified folder) and not at default maps folder
