Passing points to Scout Navigation

Hello

I use Locus for everything (POI, Trekking, Routing) but for car navigation i use Skobbler's Scout. So I often Navigate with Scout to the Locus Points.

I'm able to share/pass the Points with the "puzzle" button to Google Maps (Marker at the Coordinates Position) and then can navigatoe to it. But abroad offline navigation like Scout is used. I can choose scout in the "puzzle" option, but it just open scout at my home address without passing any Coordinates to the App.

In Scout it is not even able to paste any coordinates so i need to type them all in manual.

If it would go directly with only pressing the "puzzle" Button in would be perfect.

For sure, that "problem" could also be on Scout site. Probably as a developer u see where it "hangs".

Best Regrads

Good day Patrick,

Locus use standard mechanism how to share location over called "geo intent". If Google Maps correctly handle request from Locus and Scout application not, then it looks like a problem in this app.

So I suggest to contact Scout developer with this request. Some more direct cooperation between Locus and Scout is not suitable for realization. Thank you for understanding.

I have used Scout for a while, too. And it is a pretty closed system. It seems they do not support Android standard mechanisms, so they are the problem here. Since they have been bought by the Americans, development and support pretty much sucks.

Curious if you can shake them up ...

I just tried if "Here" reacts to geo intend - it was not in the list. BUT in their search function you can paste the coordinate that you sent to the copy buffer by Locus.

Here offers offline maps and routing, too. Free of charge. (Maybe that implies the decline of Scout ?)
