GPX files empties battery
Not a Problem
Hello, I' ve got a problem using large PGX files. When a large GPX file is imported, e.g. from http://www.hi-radtouren.de/googlemaps/dl.php (420km) locus pro consumes energy, even if it's terminated. I tested this on a Moto G with Android 4.4 and on a 3S Mini with 4.1 Last year, I've the same with my Wildfire S, Android 2.3.6 without any Problem. Can you confirm and eliminate this failure? Thanks, Andreas
Nope, because your file includes only:

Andreas, please check you server. Gynta is right .. click on link just download some error php file.
Anyway I have absolutely no idea, why should such problem happen just because of GPX file.

Hi
Sorry, I hope this is better: http://www.hi-radtouren.de/googlemaps/gpxviewer.php?%20gpx=01-leine-heide-radweg-gesamt.gpx
1.) I closed Locus by typing the back button. Locus asks: "Beenden?" and I confirm. This was never a Problem since more than a year.
2.) Normally my Moto G works about 6 Days with one battery load. Suddenly, 3 weeks ago, it only works 2 days. Since I don't knew why, I made a "factory reset". After 5 days normal use (including Locus) with one battery load, I imported the GPX file. From that time the battery got lower much faster. I checked it 2 times with the same result. After that, I took the Samsung S3 mini from a friend to check. The same result! BTW: The power monitor of android 4 doesn't show Locus as a big load, but if I delete Locus the battery life is OK again.

Hello Andreas,
thanks for a detailed information. I'm anyway sure, it has to have another reason. I'm not saying that memory consumption is not because of Locus. I do not trust battery monitors after these years, so it's still possible, that it's a problem of Locus.
Are you familiar with a word "Wake lock"? It's a mechanism that use some apps and that force your device, to keep awake. It's very dangerous method in case it's not used correctly.
For example this appliaction https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector&hl=cs may detect running "Wake lock", which may help a lot to identify which applications are running and cause battery consumption. So as a first step, I suggest to try this (or similar) app and check, which apps runs. Maybe you find Locus as a battery consumer, maybe some other.

Hello Menion
I tried to install the Wakelock Detector, incl. http://goo.gl/Yqdh2F for Android 4.4 but it doesn't work without root :-(
I'll keep on trying, but the next 3 days are full of work...

Hello again
I yust detected that the Kernel-WakeLock works. On the other 3 buttons is an error message. I'll measure the kernel wakelocks the next hours.

perfect. Let me know if you discover something.
I can really hardly beleive that import of any file may have influence on power consumpiton. Hope you discover something

Hello Menion
It's very strange...
Now, after 3 day with Locus and WakeLockDetector, 55% energy left. I will check on the next days.

3 days is quite good right? Anyway now you know at least some method how to check it, so if there will be any more information you may give me, feel free to continue in this topic.
