Planning an itinerary: The displayed journey time is inconsistent
Answered
Hello,
When planning a route, you can see several data at the bottom of the screen (distance, altitude variation, and the duration of the trip)
However, although I am in 'car' mode, the displayed duration is inconsistent (30 minutes for 10 km). I use Brouter. My profile 'Locus' routing is yet that of the car mode (car-fast).
Is it possible to set the average speeds to be taken into account when determining the travel time that is displayed when planning a route?
Regards,
Hi,
the estimated route time in the route planner is calculated from your average speed during last hour of the selected activity (recorded or navigated). So you probably didn't drive too fast last time... :)

Do I understand right, that the estimated time at the bottom of the Route Planner is an individual calculated time?
If I walk slowly the last hour the time will be higher than if I walk fast?
I wondered a long time about that till yet useless field, because it is not the speed I am able to walk but much slower normally.
My use case is that:
I have a certain way to walk and want to know how much time it would take, so i could arrive at time to the train etc.
So i open locus, open the Route Planner and set the two points to get the distance to my goal.
As I am able to walk about 6 kmh, the time in the bottom field is always much too long.
I would love to have that field user defined!
I would like to change the field at least with some of the profiles, e.g. fast walking etc.
I thought that time field is correlated with some Brouter profile, which I use for navigating.
But i tried all of them and the time was always too high.
Thank for hint, Frank

Thank, yes I know these different walking profiles.
But none of them match even nearly my profile when walking.
I checked also all the other profiles but none is usable any better. So I only can estimate the time by myself.
Is there a wishlist to add another walking profile for _fast_ walking/hiking?
On even ground i walk 6kmh and on steep paths I still have around 4kmh.
I don't think that is so unusual, I even guess the slow walking profiles are less usual for locus app users ;)
And a wish list to change the bottom time to a plain calculated user defined average speed, without calculation of steep or ground quality or even path?
Thank
