POI's not visible below certain zoom level

I would like to define zoom level below which
POI's will not be visible (at least in config.cfg).
For example
zoom 14 and above - POI's are visible
zoom 11 to 13 - POI's are simplified
zoom 1 to 10 - POI's are not visible
Or choose between simplification and
not displaying.

It's almost the same I'm missing. I come from Garmin and they have a great zoom level feature.
They make a difference between POIs from the map and custom POIs or Geocaches. You are able to setup different zoom levels when they appear. When you are slowly you see more and when you are fast you see less.
I would like to see the included POIs of the map only when I see a small part of the map (I do not drive). But I want to see my Geocaches and own POIs while I'm driving.
The problem at the moment is, that while driving, I can't see if there is a Geocache or some other POI.
It would be perfect if you could integreate this feature. I could imagine that a lot of Geocacher would switch from Garmin GPS to smartphone and locus.
