Polar M430 "no valid data"

am777 shared this problem 6 years ago
Not a Problem

I was able to connect Polar M430 and Locus Map Pro via Heart Rate Monitor (BT 4.0). But it says "No valid data" in Bluetooth Manager.

How can I send bpm from my Polar M430 to Locus Map Pro?

Hello,

I am sorry, but unfortunately there is no way to connect Polar smartwatch as HR sensor in Locus Map and there are no plans to add this support in the near future.

Hello Milan,

is all series from Polar not supported or only M430? I consider to buy Polar M600 with Wear OS from Google.

Hello,

you're right, Polar M600 with Wear OS should be able to run Wear for Locus Map add-on. Although HR sensor is not currently supported even with this add-on, but we plan to add this support probably in a couple of weeks (I will start working on this feature this or next week if nothing more important comes in.)

Hello Milan,

does it mean that recorded tracks are saved with HRM data? And also with activated Dashbord the heart frequency can be indicated?

No, watch HR data are not currently saved or displayed at all. But they should be in a near future - as you said HR data will be saved with recorded tracks and current HR should also be visible on the watch dashboard.

Have a nice day,

Hello Milan,

I'll explain something about my configuration. The clock is responsible for the RF measurement and the clock transmits the data to the mobile phone to work as a bicycle computer. I still have a speed and cadence sensor connected to Bluetooth. I combine everything in my smartphone via LocusMap Pro. Only when running can I then complete the training without a smartphone. If I make longer bike tours of 8 and more hours, the fitness trackers are unfortunately too weak. Therefore, the idea to buy a smartwatch. It is important to me that I can integrate the heart rate in Locus.

Best regards

Hello,

smartwatch is also a very battery restricted device so 8+ hours and not even as precise as HRM. I cannot tell you or promise you anything right now since the HRM feature for Wear for Locus Map is not implemented yet.

Maybe for your specific use case you could use some HRM chest strap which are more precise and have significantly longer battery life?
