Polygons in the Locus
Completed
Hi
Sometimes there is not enough POI functionality to describe objects on the map - in case if actualy they are not points, but free-form fields. Similar to WikimapiaSo, would be useful to have option to work (create/update/delete/navigate to) with polygons. Currently i have to add several POIs to mark the boundaries of the desired field.
Hello Dmitry
beside your idea, take a look on screencast

This would be great and it would also be nice to have this functionality for geocaching, like fetching geocaches for a selected area.

Thanks balloni !
It's almost what i need.
Unfortunaly, the side effect of this approach that "Nearest POIs" now shows all points of such a track-polygon.

OK, so take a look at
Nearest POIs/top right screwdriver/uncheck "Track waypoints"

Many thanks, this works!90% done. It would be nice to create these elements as new types of objects in the locus, rather than as tracks, and get rid of displaying polygon's vertices as waypoints on the map (with specific waypoint's pop-up screen)

Good day Dmitry, balloni,
I'm not still sure why and how extended support for polygons may be useful for common Locus Map usage - hike & bike.
You may also create a folder for tracks and set required polygon style to this folder. All new added tracks will then inherit this style ( if not directly excluded ), which simplify your workflow little bit.

1. I'm sure that a lot of people use the Locus, not only for biking & hicking, thanks for it :)
2. For biking & hicking a polygon can mark: bad part of road, nice place for setting camp, rockfall place, ...
3. Yes, this workaround (creation polygons as tracks) is quite efficient

Hello,
1. and 2. points make sense, I just try to eliminate features that are not anymore connected to base app purpose.
3. perfect, so we may consider idea as already implemented.
