Problem downloading map tiles

I am not sure what is happening here, but it seems Locus Map does not download map tiles if there have been problems with these tiles on a previous day.

As you can see in the picture, not all tiles are refreshed or shown. But if I zoom in to the next level, tiles are downloaded and the server is responding. But there was a problem with lost network connectivity a few days back and Locus reported that it could not download tiles. But is this stored in the cache so that Locus Map does not retry downloading the tiles?

Hi,

could I ask you if is it online or offline map? And the map it's self - is it kapsi.fi map?

Thank you

Online

Norwegian "kartverket". It is part of your map shop

Well difficult to say what happened. Let's simply try to clear cache for this map. Open Menu > Maps > Online > Statkart >topo > options (three dots) and tap on "Clear Cache".

Does the "Clear cache" solved the issue, please?

I am not willing to delete the cache only for testing this. 1GB of cache data has some value for me. The map tiles load fine on another phone so I know the server is responding fine.

I see, but we can't very likely solve it without purging of cache...

I am not sure what you want to solve.

For my part, I have solved it days ago. I went into the download map functionality, selected "update cache" and update all tiles older than 1 day. Locus Map then downloaded the tiles it won't download otherwise.

If you want to solve what looks like a bug in Locus Map, I can try to answer questions you have. But clearing the local cache on my phone is not going to solve any problems for me in the short term.

Ohh I didn't know it. I thought that you still have the wrong tiles. So solved :)

Usually I find companies happy to get feedback and customers reporting problems, but it seems to me that you are not that interested in the fact that the map contain empty tiles and Locus Map doesn't download them on a normal usage. Fair enough and ok to know. Feedback about your product will be reduced accordingly.

I'm sorry but I think support and feedback is really important for us. But the question is what we can do in your situation. We've tried the Statkart map for given area without any problems. You already re-downloaded the problematic area, so we can't check the map itself to test what tiles were downloaded...

However please feel free to contact me in case that you find some odd behavior.
