Problem with adding maps

Cornus shared this problem 10 years ago
Solved

I upgraded to Locus Pro, but I can’t use the vector maps I already used with Locus. When trying to add maps (*.map type) and selecting the directory I just get the message: “Problems with …” although I can see the file.

Good day Cornus,

if Locus Pro use same directory as previous Locus Free (it should, there is no reason why not), you should also see all your maps that was in Locus Free version.

In Menu > Maps > Vector tab, you do not see your maps? May you also please check directly on your card, if there is Locus directory and in 'mapsVector' all your vector maps? Thank you and really sorry for such troubles.

Hello Cornus

1st:

Plz have a look into menu->information

Search for details-> "working directory"

Here you will find the right pah.

In this path you should have a folder, called "mapsVector" with your vectormap inside.

2nd.

You should not add this folder to Locus - because this is the standard folder.

Locus search into this folder independently

Both comments did not solve my issue directly but finally led to the solution:

after selecting the right directory I clicked on the map I like to add. And the "Problem with ..." was reported. If I just use the check mark on top, it works. So obviously no bug, but a little confusing.

Thanks a lot, responstime coundn't be better

Hello Cornus,

good it works for you anyway it's little bit weird, because as gynta wrote, Locus should automatically handle all maps stored in Locus/maps and Locus/mapsVector directoires.

Anyway important in this case is, that you see your maps :)

I had the same pb, getting "problem adding maps", but checking the checkmark solved the problem. I tend to have my maps in one central directory for all apps to use.
