Question about track recording

Hi, I've been recently experiencing a strange behavior of locus on startup.

Every time I start it, it automatically displays the track recording panel in the recording mode (stop, record and add waypoint buttons).

It also displays info that there is an unfinished track recording (that's my translation of polish info, so may be not word for word). Screenshot of that in attachment.

The recording is empty, so I cannot record it, or see it.

Upon stopping it, it shuts and displays the recording panel with green play button.

I don't remember when this behavior started unfortunately, I'm almost certain that it's not the result of my fiddling in the settings.

I had a look through the settings, and couldn't find a way to stop it from showing unfortunately.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Maciej

Hi Maciej,

when you stop the recording, the panel slides out again . What happens if you slide it back in? The situation repeats when your start Locus again?

Hi Michal, thanks for the reply :)

After stopping, the initial panel (one button) replaces the recording one. I can slide it back and than Locus looks like it used to before this behaviour started. All is normal.

However, after restarting the app it's back.

Next thing I'm going to try is actually recording something outside and saving it in hope it cures Locus...

Than next stop is reinstallation.

You don't have to reinstall - 1) go to Locus settings >Miscellaneous > Clear temporary data > check "temporary files (cache directory)" and clear it. 2) via a file browser in your phone, go to directory Locus/cache/track_rec and delete its content .

Hi again Michal,

I've done the above and Locus is back to normal!

Many thanks for the swift and spot-on diagnosis plus solution.
