Quickly hide/unhide all tracks and points

Should locus remeber the status bevor tapping the button and restore this scene after "toggletapping"?

You`re right, the problem is especially for POIs

the large number of POIs too mask the map and the "track"

button is used to mask hide/unhide only POIs

I see that you don`t have a "Points" button on right panel. Try to add it there from list of features and check if this do not solve your request.

If you use only a one or two categories at time, this should solve it. Otherwise I understand what you want, but there precisely described issues that Gynta wrote and also for me main problem, where to place button that will handle this :)

when I travel with my motorhome, I have many POI categories and the generation of the database can be long.

Once this database is created, I would like to temporarily hide it to keep track and map

I vote for it. Especially a simple way to hide and bring back POIs.

it defines the POIs in the database used SQLlitle.

I want, simply, to hide the display of the database without having to recreate again

Yea, I voted for this, too. As already said, not only for POI but also for Tracks. Especially on bike rides it would help a lot as ones eyes are pretty far away from display, therefore POI-Text is been set to big letters...but this pretty frequently hides the map itself or tracks, so overview is getting lost. Same applies to track, which sometimes hide map track, too.

when i have many geocaching point show on map i can not see map...

so one click show/unshow all POI can be usefull. i often show and unshow all POI. but at present it is complicated.

I need one opinion ... you here know what`s this topic about, anyway what you think about this design?

I was thinking about changing "Points" dialog into more useful "Items visibility" dialog. What you think? When at bottom will be better icons, should be this system clear? (btw. this already works, it`s just about GUI now)

I hope you are not mixing tracks with points ( the right bottom icon ???).

Hide will hide all visible points or only checked ones?

when button is checked (so it`s highlighted like "Points"), points will be displayed as usually. When button is unchecked, no points will be displayed! Same for tracks (right button). But looks like not best solution. I`ll think more about it ...

Important is, that selected catagories can be switched off AND ON AGAIN with one botton and not having to check everthing seperately again

This is not a bad idea. Just make sure it will not be confusing, when user will check some points/categories and then he will be surprised that no points are showed on map.

I think you should introduce second behavior for every button on panels in the main Locus screen. Instead of long press on button to get toolTip, the long pressing should do something special. in this case it would be nice to long press on Points button in right panel to show/hide points.

Beginners of course need to be informed what the certain button means, but experienced ones prefers functionality and they already knows what certain button can do.

I think what we need (wish) is a function that can be added to top or left menu.

The function should TOGGLE POIs and tracks hidden or displayed.

Would it be more clear, if the term "Show map (only)" is used instead of "hide POIs and tracks" ?

I would prefer "Hide all"

don`t worry, I understand the point ...

just look on it from different place - there is already so much buttons that may be added on various panels. Is here "Points" button, that allow to "quickly" load and unload all points in categories. Is here "remove temp map items" which is as a separate function for panel (quite hidden, but very useful) and is here this request. I think all should be connected into one screen like "Item visibility". It`s all similar feature.

I know I know, it`s one more click (to be correct two, also to close dialog again), but I will connect three functions into one screen in some logic way

Did you think about expandable buttons submenus? It would be like that: you are clicking on some button on vertical panel, and then 3 other buttons/icons are appearing in the horizontal position next to this button. Something like small mini panel which appears only when clicked on the certain button. This will get rid of going into additional screens and making additional clicks.

hmm "expandable" button is already for GPS button. There is also special button that enable/disable GPS. So something similar (just only "hide all/show all") should be of course in this case. Goog idea ...

Its a good start! An easy (?) way to make it quicker to use, is to make the new icon (with red bar across) clickable. This action would restore the hidden items.

- "Points" have to be renamed probably to "Items visibility" (also description)

- missing correct icons for this feature

- missing icon on map that indicate "points are not visible"

- missing icon on map that indicate "tracks are not visible"

dans cette version (2.5.6.6), j`ai constaté que les traces ne se déplacaient pas exactement si on déplace la carte... en particulier si le zoom n`est pas à 100%.

2.5.6.14 is rock solid for me regarding "track wandering". all previous versions had this problem, 2.5.6.14 does not.

Hi, I really appreciate the new GUI with the eye symbol and what`s behind of it.

However I think it`s not consistant: visible elements can be points, tracks, elements but I can only tick/untick points and tracks. Even more for points I have shortcuts for the different categories but no shortcut to tracks.

not much place for this in current screen. I personally do not see much sense in some enabling all "cycle" track etc, because if I use tracks, it usually one for guiding, or one for something here or two here etc ... but together with this I see 200 caches, and 500 other points etc ... it`s on discussion

main problem I see in fact that this screen was created from older "Points" and because I found enabling whole categories as very useful, I only added top two buttons for quicker switch. If we can design screen that will also contain list of tracks and probably also "items or elements" and still be useful and nice .. why not

Have a look at the screenshot again. There are 2/10 Favorites enabled and only these 2 I can enable/disable on the level of this dialogue. At least this is my understanding. If it is implemented different it makes no sense to write 2/10.

yes this is correct, but when then (in state 0/10) again tap on it, it will enable whole category, so 10/10.

Ah, I didn`t know this. But as long as there is not 0/x but something >0/x it can be used as I wrote and this makes definitely also sense for tracks.

There is a big need to add some somewhere quick "uncheck all tracks" function. many times i have multiple tracks loaded, and i want to hide them all (not temporary hide) with one click. or maybe i cant see this option?

In Items Visibility, there is a big need for "Uncheck all points" button. When I have 100 points categories checked, unchecking them one by one is insane.

Another thing: im missing the right panel "Tracks" and "Points" buttons. Why they dissapeared? They were perfect!
