Record statistics to route when using navigation

I think that the Locus Pro app is excellent, but I struggling to work out how to record statistics to an existing track/route. I can:

  1. create and import a route that I want to ride
  2. select and navigate the route using the imported route in "my Tracks"
  3. integrate Locus with my ANT+ speed and cadence sensors

But I'm unable to record the timings for the route that I have just navigated. If I record the track then it will create a new track and record the data to there. I will not save the data to the existing track.

Is this possible?

Hello Darren,

so to understand this correctly. You wants to import some track from GPX file, enable navigation and new fresh values (altitude, speed, sensor data) insert into imported track (from GPX)?

Then I have here three points:

1) no, it is not possible

2) what is purpose of this? Why not record a new track?

3) how you may imagine it should work? Because imported track has for sure trackpoints on little bit different places, then new recorded data, so in most cases, due to GPS accuracy, location won't match

Ok, thanks for letting me know that it is not possible. I was hoping that I could build up multiple track recordings against the same entry, that way I could group the data to see changes over time.

Disappointed that it isn't supported, but still a great app

Darren, I have no idea how you wants to do this. Locus do not support compare of more tracks at once.

Sorry, but for some more advanced stats, I really suggest to use some external service. I personally use for example Velo Hero web site, where I export every recorded track. There is possibility to see measured values and maybe also some comparing (did not tested by myself).

I'll give Velo Hero a try, many thanks for your assistance.
