Recorded track too long
Answered
Hi,
I recently went on a track which is 16.5 km long. The recorded track length was 19.5 km though. (See the two tracks attached: swh is the track planned in outdooractive, Basaltsee is the recorded one) How is that possible?
Thanks for any help
Harald
Good day Harald,
among the fact that you did not follow planned route precisely, in your recordings exists few problems like this one:
When you zoom in on this place, you may notice that there are many hundreds of meters recorded by jumping GPS.
For this, I may suggest reducing the recroding interval time & distance, check "record only when moving" (in recording profile) and optional you may give a try to Settings > GPS & sensors > Location filter, that may reduce these "jumps" a little.
Locus Map not yet has a perfectly working auto-pause solution so there is a need for optimizations I mentioned above.

Sure, you are welcome.
Such "problems" may be later quite simply removed in track editor, if needed.
Have a nice day,
