Hi,

My phone got formatted & I lost all my data.

There is a backup at my Samsung Account and it restored my other data & not Locus Map.

Is there any way I can get my Locus Map data again?

thnx

Hi,

did you do cloud backup of your Locus data (settings, tracks and points) via Locus Backup manager? It is possible manually or automatically to Dropbox or Google Drive. If yes, you can restore it from there. Also cloud backup of maps is possible but only manual. If not, I'm afraid Samsung backup app is not able to save Locus Map installation - it's a bit more complex than other (much simpler) apps.

Hi,

Go to Locus Menu > More functions > Backup manager > Restore > select Google Drive tab. If you are not logged in - log in. Select your backup file and restore it.

I did exactly that but it can not see the locus files!

However I can see it in Drive

What files do you see in Drive? Locus Backup manager recognizes only Locus Backup files (.zip format)

What I see in Drive is: from the menu: Backups (it shows the auto backups that was taken): Apps data (it doesn't show the file format. Just the app name and the file size)

Restore latest of the Auto backups through Locus Backup manager.

Locus map back doesn't see these files!

I don't know why

I'm not sure we understand each other - would you please make screenshots of 1) Locus Backup manager > Restore > view of file screen, 2) view of you Google Drive with backupped fiules. Thanks

I am not even sure Mohamed used Locus build in backup mechanism for performing his backup tasks for Locus data.

For me it looks like he used a Samsung backup manager or something similar for doing the job. And if he did so I am afraid that points and tracks data from Locus have not been backuped anywhere ....
