I am not able to restore the maps from Google drive backup. I see the maps but they are grey and not active.

Login to Google works fine.

Good day Petr,

you are correct. In first step few months ago, we made support for backup of maps to the cloud. But restoring feature is currently missing. Temporary workaround will be to manually download maps into Locus/mapsVector directory. Sorry for an additional work, we will definitely prepare easier restore of maps soon.

Thanks for understanding,

Hey,

I found this thread as I was searching if there is a way to restore offline maps from Google Drive, other than manual copying. Do you think this funtion it is ever going to come? ;)

And thanks for giving us the best navigation app ever (hiking/cycling in my case)!

Regards

Marco

Hello,

a week ago we finally started some work on the synchronization of points and tracks. So I'm sure, this will be next logical step once done.

Hi

Having trouble. New phone, saved my only offline map to google drive but it is greyed out as described above. Please explain how I do the manual transfer to the directory you mention. My phone has plenty of internal memory but no SD card, but the vector maps seem to default to an SD card. Thanks

Good day David,

vector maps may be placed on SD card, you just have to define manually, as we describe here.

Anyway, some automatic import of maps stored on Google Drive is still missing as I confirmed a few days ago. Sorry for this. You still may download maps from Google Drive manually and place them to Locus/maps directory (*.sqlite maps) or Locus/mapsVector (*.osm.map maps).

Hope this helps.
