Save the "estimated travel time" into a route / track

Hi Locus team,

is there a way to save the values I am getting using the "Estimate Travel Time" into a track? When I record a track, the travel time and average speed, etc. are stored directly in the track. Can I also update stored tracks (or even routes) with this information?

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

recorded tracks consist of recorded trackpoints. Each trackpoint has its GPS location and time of record. Average speed and time of travel is calculated from these basic values, they are not "stored".

Planned routes consist of routepoints. These routepoints have GPS locations but no time of record. It is not possible to "save ETA" into a route. However, it is possible to display ETA of a route when you start navigation along such a route and Locus calculates the ETA based on your actual speed.

Hi Michal,

thanks for your answer! I have a track, which I imported from the internet. However, that track is somehow broken: The estimated time for the track (as saved in the track) is wrong. Would it be possible to overwrite this information with the information generated when calculating the route? This would mean, that you update the trackpoints with an "artificial" timestamp (e.g. first trackpoint reached at midnight and for the subsequent trackpoint midnight + travel time). Would that be possible?

Thanks, Michael

Michael, unfortunately, this is not possible in Locus Map.
