Saving and Reloading groups of tracks

Hi,


Problem: there are three areas where I record lots of tracks for OSM.

One of them - with more than 300 tracks - won't be used until summer '18.

My impression is that this block of tracks is mostly responsible for the very long time Locus takes to startm


Question: is there a way to remove it from Locus until then, and then integrate those tracks again?

Can you just move them to a new track folder and turn off their visibility?

Thanks - this is (of course, once I stopped to think about it) the solution.


I simply never noticed because I usually have a few tracks open/visible that I made while driving around the country, until I have entered the things I noticed were missing from OSM into their map editor.


Just now I ran Locus again, and noticed that it started MUCH more quickly than yesterday, though the only change I had made was remove the visibility of one recent 2200 km round trip.


So, after experimenting a bit, it appears that a mere handful of visible long tracks can have the same effect as hundreds of visible short tracks (again, sensible if you think about it.)


When I just now switched ALL tracks to Invisible, Locus started without any apparent lag at all.

@Andrew - thanks for the prompt reply

@Jochen - large amount of active tracks is one of causes of Locus lagging - the app has to maintain a great number of data which is quite processor/energy consuming. There are more tips how to improve Locus performance, just FYI: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:locus_performance
