Screen off timeout not work precisely
Not a Problem
Locus pro 3.8.2
The question is how to set up screen off timeout?
Settings:
-system timeout is 30s
- Screen on\off control: Enable on, Guidance\nav all checked, idle timeout 30s
- Always screen on : Enable on, Specify: GPS+during guide\nav is checked
In guide mode all is ok - after 30s display will turn off. but if guide or nav is off display will never go off (with always screen on enabled and GPS checked) or will go off in about 10 sec (with aways screen on disabled). How to set up 30s off without guidance or navigation?
Good day Tim,
It is around half of year since Locus is able to turn screen on/off based on some events. Thanks to think new feature, I was already many times thought how to do it ... how to improve existing "Always screen on" feature to works correctly with new "Screen on/off" feature. They both collide a little bit.
So generally, if you wants to use automatic screen on/off in Locus, I really suggest to disable "Always screen on" feature. Give it a try. "Always screen on" in your case really cause, that screen is never turned off.
After second read, I see, that main problem in your case is undefined 10 seconds right? Hard to say from where it comes. What about some "gesture control" in "Screen on/off" settings? Also double check of 30 seconds defined in system settings?

Hmm interesting,
ok Tim, let's do it in this way: I already made some changes in turn screen on/off feature so it may work a little bit different in next Locus version. So please, during next week will be out next Locus version, so try it and let me know how it works for you. If there will be still same problem (it is probable), create over Menu > More > Backup manager, backup of your settings and send me it. I'll try to simulate your issue with your settings.
Thanks.
