Select all POIs in an area

As I am dealing with lots of POIs, it would be nice to select all POIs in a specific area and copy/displace/delete all selected points. Could be realised by draw a rectangular or touch-up from screen (best ways) or by selecting more than one POI (easiest way, but difficult to handle with hundreds of POIs).

Should be working on every zoom-level.

The way I handle that is:

- go to the area I am interested in

- select the POI folder in question

- sort by distance

- select first x points

Not scientifically the same what you desire, but very practical still.

If your folders are not by geo region, but by semantics of POIs, then above gets tedious.

Thanks for advise. This is how I do it still now. Selection should work with the map, as the POIs could be in more than one folder. Counting the POIs in the specific area with hundreds oft them and the next ones probably for away is not practical for me.

Hi there.

Following this topic I would like to take on this suggestion and add another one.

It would be great to be able to select POIs in a map with the help of polygon selection (area).

This would be very useful for geocaching, but also for other types of POIs.
