Selection of the "map shading type" in the Quick Settings menu

Hello Locus team,

I am searching for a possibility to easily switch between the "map shading types". I usually use the "hill shading", but during the winter, when on tour in the mountains, I regulatary would like to switch to "slopes" type in order to allow an easy assessment of slope and thus avalange risk.

Currently changing the slope type is possible only via the settings (at least as to my knowledge), which is a quite cumbersome way to switch the shading type from "hill shading" to "slope" and back to "hill shading".

Therefore, would it be possible to include switching the hill shading type in the Quick Settings menu?

Obviously, also any other alternative (like e.g. the possibility to add such a switch directly in the right panel) that provides a solution to my topic would be equally helpful :)

Thanks and best regards,

Christoph

Good day Christoph,

probably most quick solution is thanks to new "Map content" panel -> small blue icon in bottom left corner. Tap on it, and choose "Map layers". Here is option to turn on/off "Map shading" by eye button, but you may also tap on title "Map shading" and you get required settings.

And little improvement - this "Map layers" may be added as quick button directly on screen as another blue button in left side or it may be even added into functions panel (top/right). Uff, so many options :). Hope it will bring desired quick access you wants. Direct place into functions panel is not possible, as it do not fit whole concept how functions panel is made (no settings, only bigger functions). Thanks for understanding.

He asked for another QuickSettings option, which is exactly the right place. No conceptual hassle with the blue beasts ...

Hello Menion,

to possibility to add Map Layers as additional button in the right side menu seems a promising to achieve a feasible way to switch the shading type (it's no direct switch of the shading type, but only one additional step is necessary, so should be fine).

Thanks!

Christoph
